Optimize Computer Performance—How to Optimize Computer Performance in All-round Ways

Since you have been using computer for a long time, it is undeniable that computer performance is reducing day by day, such as computer is running slower and slower, or an increasing number of junks are piling up in the computer.
If such problems have occurred in your computer, it is an alarm that you should take some actions to fix them so as to optimize computer performance. Well, that is what I want to tell you in this article.

1. Clean and optimize registry
When Windows boot up, system needs to read data in the registry and put them in the ram temporarily. Windows spend most time in this regard. Therefore, it is necessary to clean and optimize registry. As for how to do that, you can turn to certain optimizer to help you.

2. Delete excessive dynamic library link files.
In the Windows-based operating systems, there are many dynamic library link files in the system subdirectory. Among them, some are shared by many files while some are quite useless. In order to free up disk space and improve computer speed, you can delete them on condition that you are skillful in computer technology.

3. Maintain system regularly.
If you have put too many games and applications with lot of old and useless data, it is no doubt computer is running slower and slower as well as booting computer.

Therefore, you should maintain computer completely at proper intervals. For example, to defragment disk is really a good way to improve computer performance. Besides, it is a must to defragment the disk where you put systematic programs. This is the right way to speed up starting up order of Windows correctly.

4. Expand virtual memory
If you have large disk, it is quite suitable for you to set virtual memory. You can point to a disk that is seldom used and then fix maximum and minimum values which is twice as that of physical memory. In this way, when virtual memory is applying hard disk, the value does not have to change unstably. Instead, system can apply fixed space as virtual memory so as to speed up read-write speed.

What is more, it is advisable for you to set the values after defragmentation because virtual memory should be put in a continuous space without any fragment. Only by doing this, it can play greater role in optimizing computer performance.

If you are eager to optimize computer performance, you should follow the steps one by one because I have introduced the main causes and solutions to improve computer performance in all-round way.

Optimize Vista — How to optimize Vista when it stops responding

When using Windows Vista operating system, it will sometimes stop responding when booting up the computer or in the midst of doing something because of a corrupted registry, system files and a miss of the device driver files. So how can we effectively solve it to optimize Vista? Here, a common solution will be discussed.

To solve the stop-responding issue and then optimize Vista, it is necessary to use the Windows Vista installation disc and the follow the steps below to fix the problem:

1) Insert the Windows Vista installation disc and boot your system (Note that you have set it to boot from CD or DVD)
2) Set the preferred language and then click “Next” to proceed.
3) Click “Repair My Computer”.
4) Then, select the operating system to be repaired in  “System Recovery Options”  dialog box and then click “Next”.
5) Click to select “Startup Repair” option in same dialog box to automatically detect and then correct startup problems which result in stop-responding problems. Click “Finish” when the process gets completed.

But if you have preinstalled recovery option, you can simply follow the steps below to fix the issue rather than use Windows Vista installation disc to use “Startup Repair” tool.

1) Remove all floppy disks, CD and DVD from the computer, and then restart the computer
2) Follow one of the operations below to proceed:
A. If you only have one operating system, please directly get into Windows safe mode
B. If you have multiple operating systems, you can first select the one to be repaired and then press F8 to get into safe mode.
3) Select “Repair My Computer” within the “Advanced Boot Options” and press “Enter”.
4) Click one keyboard layout in the list and press “Next”.
5) Click one user in the list, enter the password and click “OK”.
6) Select “Startup Repair” option within “System Recovery Options” dialog box.
7) When the repair process finishes, simply click “Finish”.

(Note: if the problem still remains after you reboot your computer, please repeat the steps above to fix the problem)

With the simple steps above, you can easily fix the problem and then optimize your computer. But here, I still want to mention that to optimize Vista, it is necessary for you to pay attention to some other dispensable daily maintenance such as regularly run the built-in Disk Cleanup to clear the useless system junk files, or timely uninstall the unwanted programs from the computer, which should be followed by a simple disk defragmentation to rearrange the files on the hard disk, making them always stay at a single same place of the hard disk and much easier to input or output when necessary, which will greatly speed up the computer and avoid system crashes, freeze-up.

In conclusion, when using the computer, it is necessary for us to master some solutions to fix the stop-responding problem to optimize Vista, but a proper daily maintenance is more important in optimizing the computer, in my opinion.
