When searching the internet for solutions to speed up your computer, I believe you will always get advice to run a hard disk defragmentation. But does it really work on speeding up the computer? In this article, you will find something useful. 

To answer this question, first it is necessary for us to learn how the fragments occur. Normally, when storing a file on the computer, it will be first saved on the free available space. But when there is impossible for the system to lay another relevant data sequentially and contiguously, it will be scattered into different pieces and then locate incoherently on the hard disk. If not, defragment in safe mode will do some help in order to faster the defragmentation, but also speed up the computer.
