First, type “regedit” in the “Start”—“Run” to open “Registry Editor”, click the following key values in turns: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets. Find whether there is a value called “Defrag”, if not, you can set a new one (but, normally, it is there under default condition). In the “Defrag”, reset a main value named “Settings” under which set another one called “DisableScreenSaver”. You just need to change it default character string value into “YES”. That is OK.
After that, the screensaver will shut down automatically when defragmenting, and open again after defragmentation. See, does it really save your time and energy? You do not have to click the mouse back and forth.

And, if the capability of hard disk and partition is rather small, it will not take too much time to defragment. But, as for those big ones crammed with data, if you want to clean them entirely, I am afraid it is a long process. So, when dealing such problems, you can take two methods as follows:
