Speed up Defragmentation—Some Methods to Defragment Faster

That is to say, if you visit hourly, the browser may leave a mess of temporary files on this catalog, what is worse, it performs read-write operations frequently resulting in lots of fragments which hinder the visiting speed. In order to prevent such problem, you can point the temporary folders to other partitions to share the burden of C disk. First, set a temporary restored catalog in the D disk and then click “Start”— “Control Panel”—“Internet Option”, in the dialog box, click “Settings”– “Move Folders” and choose the relating catalogs. Then, you can find the position of temporary folders has been changed.

Then, you should keep a certain amount of disk space. It is common that if there are few spaces in the hard disk, it takes a lot of time to run applications and defragment the hard disk. In other word, you should remain enough spaces to run defragmentation smoothly. However, different disk partitions cost time and energy differently. For those small sizes of disk partitions, it is better to remain 15% available spaces at least; for the bigger ones, more than 5% is the better choice and for leading partitions, 40MB is the minimum requirement of available spaces. Besides, you are supposed to free up the disk spaces in time, such as empty the recycle bin at every turn, delete the history record of surfing, temporary files and folders and so forth.

Besides the two methods of defragmentation mentioned above, I strongly recommend you to turn to the third method–that is to use a professional defrag-Advanced Defrag, which is more efficient than the Windows program. It is worthy for you to have a try.
